Dr. Julie Zitz graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Prior to Tufts Veterinary school, Julie worked at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston doing cancer research and at Harvard doing Neurobiology research. After graduation, she did her internship at the Animal Medical Center of NYC which specialized in small Animal Medicine/Surgery from 2003-2004. She then went on to The Ohio State University where she completed her small animal surgical residency and masters in 2007, with a diplomate status in 2011. Dr. Zitz has worked as a veterinary surgeon for the last 9 years before joining our team. When not in the hospital, Dr. Zitz resides in Ipswich, MA, and loves to sail, ski, as well as play tennis and golf with her husband and 2 dogs.
