Securocryl Plus sutures are coated with chlorhexidine diacetate, a proven antibacterial agent that results in a zone of inhibition around the suture line. Chlorhexidine diacetate is recognized as being effective against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA and MRSE.
