Velosity Particulate is the worlds first osteostimulative synthetic bone graft material. Its inductive signaling capability promotes cell proliferation and bone formation to create a scaffold for new bone growth to help patients heal. It is a 100% synthetic bioactive material composed from elements that occur naturally in the body. The carrier is rapidly removed from the site through enzymatic activity leaving behind a bioactive material capable of regenerating new bone from existing bone in the surgical site. Velosity Particulate only grows bone where it is wanted & there is no danger of ectopic bone growth to compromise outcomes. Because it is not osteoinductive, it will also not form bone in soft tissue. It can work alone or be mixed with autograft to extend the volume of available autograft. Reduces the need for a second surgical site and reduces the potential for associated complications. Velosity Particulate is indicated for bony voids or gaps of the skeletal system that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure, including extremities, spine and pelvis.
