Extracapsular (ExCap) Lateral Fabello-Tibial Suture Stabilization of the Stifle
Online Lecture & Wet Lab
This course includes two parts and is designed for the veterinarian who wishes to learn/refine the extracapsular (ExCap) lateral fabello-tibial suture stabilization technique and to understand the major advantages of PowerX Crimping System.
Part One of this course is a pre-recorded online lecture that includes a comprehensive discussion of diagnostic tips, client education updates, case selection, meniscal visualization & treatment, ExCap lateral fabello-tibial suture stabilization technique, and postoperative management/ rehabilitation.
Part Two of this course is a hands-on workshop. Participants will perform the ExCap suture stabilization technique on canine cadavers under faculty supervision using a step-by-step high-resolution video demonstration. This laboratory will include arthrotomy for stifle exploration, removal of the CrCL remnants, inspection of the medial meniscus, proper placement of the ExCap suture and use of a precise crimping system and critique of your repair. On-site digital radiography available for post-op critiques.
The online lecture will be available for 30 days before the hands-on wet lab. The online lecture includes the following modules:
